The Briana Ponzini Britt Memorial Scholarship was created to honor Briana’s life and keep her beautiful spirit alive by supporting a graduating Ward Melville High School cheerleader as she takes the next step in her journey.

Briana knew what it meant to be part of a team. As a former Ward Melville cheerleader, captain, and later a coach, she understood that being a great teammate was about so much more than talent. It was about showing up, encouraging others, working hard, believing in yourself, and finding the courage to keep going even when things were difficult.

​

This scholarship holds a special meaning because it recognizes a young woman who may not always have been the one in the spotlight, but who showed determination, heart, growth, and perseverance. It honors the cheerleader who kept trying, grew in confidence, supported her teammates, and never gave up on herself.

​

These are qualities that reflected who Briana was throughout her life—and qualities she demonstrated with extraordinary strength during the most difficult chapter of her own journey.

Through this scholarship, we hope to give another young woman the opportunity to carry a small piece of Briana’s spirit with her as she begins her next chapter. In doing so, Briana’s impact continues to reach beyond her lifetime and inspire others to lead with strength, kindness, courage, and heart.
